How to use
- Preparation: wash your hands thoroughly. Tip: a drop of water-based lubricant (e.g. JoyDivision AQUAglide) makes insertion easier.
- Insertion: compress the tampon into a teardrop shape, place your index finger in the indentation and insert it deep into the vagina - right up close to the cervix.
- Wear time: the Mini size is recommended for lighter-flow days; change every 3-5 hours (maximum 8 hours).
- Removal: squat down or sit on the toilet with your legs apart, reach for the indentation with your index finger and pull it out. If it’s hard to reach, you can help with a “pincer” technique using two fingers.
- During intercourse: completely discreet - your partner will not feel it. After sex, CHANGE the tampon (to help prevent infection).

1. What is the difference between the Mini and Normal sizes?
The Mini has a smaller, narrower shape (4 cm maximum width) and lower absorbency - therefore it is recommended for lighter-flow days (at the beginning/end of your period) or for users with smaller anatomy. Normal is the standard size for medium to heavy flow.
2. How can it be removed without a string?
The petal shape features an indentation for your finger. Squat down or sit on the toilet with your legs apart (this shortens the vaginal depth from 9-10 cm to 4-5 cm), then reach into the indentation with your index or middle finger and gently pull it out.
3. Can it get lost or go up into the womb?
No. The opening of the uterus (cervical os) is too small for the tampon to pass through. The tampon sits in front of the cervix and cannot migrate elsewhere.
4. Can it be used during sex?
Yes, this is one of the key USPs of JoyDivision Soft-Tampons. The partner does not feel it. After sex, CHANGE the tampon immediately to help prevent infection.
5. Can it be used together with a condom?
Yes. The surface of the PU foam is soft and does NOT damage the condom material.
6. How much blood does the Mini absorb?
Although it weighs only 2 g, its absorbency is above average, similar to that of a traditional cotton tampon. The Mini size is designed for lighter flow.
7. Can it be used in water (swimming, sauna)?
Yes, in fact: when swimming it also helps protect against chlorinated or polluted water entering. Important: with heavy bleeding, avoid swimming, and always insert a fresh tampon before any water-based activity.
8. Is it safe for people with allergies?
Yes. PUR foam contains no latex or rubber and is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Product Class I (baby level) - this is the STRICTEST class.
9. Can it be used during pregnancy?
Midwives do recommend it, as it helps prevent bacteria from entering. After birth, wait 6 weeks (it is NOT recommended during the postpartum bleeding period).
10. What should I do with used Soft-Tampons?
Dispose of them with normal household waste, as with other hygiene products - do NOT flush them down the toilet. The packaging is 100% recyclable (cardboard + plastic + aluminium foil).
